We recommend a non-abrasive sponge or cloth with either an antibacterial cleaning solution or certified kitchen worktop cleaner.

Absolutely not. The wood and finishing we use will not withstand any cutting tasks. Much like you wouldn't ever cut directly onto your kitchen top. By all means, you can use a chopping board on top of the cover with no problems.

Firstly, please never put the cover over any hob which is lit or active. A hob generally cools down within 30 minutes but touch feel before placing the cover back over the hob.

There are so many different things you can use the cover for! Extra worktop space, preparing food when the use of a hob isn't needed, hiding those cooking spills before guests arrive, entertaining with drinks and nibbles, or making it a centerpiece to your kitchen adorned with a beautiful vase and flowers, candles etc.

The height of your cover will depend on two things. Whether your hob is gas or electric. For gas hobs the total height of the cover is 88mm and for electric covers it is 53mm. This is due to less clearance being needed for an electric hob over a gas hob. If however, you have an electric hob and more height is your preference you can by all means use a gas cover on your electric hob.

In short, yes. 95% of the time all our standard sized covers will fit any work top whether it's for a kitchen island hob or a standard kitchen work top with a splash back. On the rare occasion the measurement between the splash back and where the hob starts is less than 35mm then you will only be able to use the Made to Order option.

Our covers are generally only suitable for being used with a built in hobs, both electric and gas. For Aga's or Freestanding units, please contact us as we would need to see pictures first.
